This time of lockdown I started a new way of painting with palette knife, I love it, it flows really well, feels easy and fast too. The possibilities are endless, I found that so amazing. I have done only three paintings on canvas so far, since I didn’t buy more before all was closed. I have painted a lot on paper, which is a good alternative and it has been fun during these quarantine times. This one is called “Tierra” 50×60 cm.
Este tiempo de cuarentena comencé una nueva forma de pintar con espátula. Me encanta, realmente fluye, es fácil y rápido pintar así. Las posibilidades son infinitas y esto realmente me sorprende. He hecho tres pinturas sobre tela porque no alcancé a comprar más antes de que cerraran la librería donde compro mis telas a un buen precio. Eso si he pintado mucho en papel, compré un par de blocks especiales para óleo y con eso me he entretenido estos meses de cuarentena gracias a covid-19. Esta pintura se llama “Tierra”, 50×60 cm.
Me encanta pintar y probar técnicas nuevas, especialmente esta pandemia me ha permitido eso, explorar y crear de forma diferente. Antes hacía cuadros más figurativos y ahora con la espátula (que la amo) hago cosas más abstractas pero igual con símbolos. Empecé hace poco a probar cómo se pinta con acuarela y me ha gustado bastante. Se seca rápido, ensucia poco y corre bien la pintura, pero de todos modos me gusta más el óleo. Si les gusta alguna, las vendo sin marco y las envió a cualquier parte del mundo.

I love painting and trying new techniques, especially this pandemic time has allowed me that, to explore and create differently. Before I made more figurative paintings and now with the spatula (which I love) I do more abstract things but still with symbols. I recently started testing how to paint with watercolor and I really liked it. It dries fast, gets less dirty, and paints well, but I like oil better anyway.
